Sarah Olson is a local painter and art teacher who specializes in custom commissions. Currently, she’s accepting requests for pet, portrait, and landscape paintings. She’s also available for special projects including murals, art lessons, and face painting. Through her art, Sarah hopes to connect to the greater Seattle community, helping to bring joy, beauty, and color to daily life. She strives to make her art accessible, relatable, and personal, and greatly enjoys meeting her clients and creating their visions.
For the past six years, Sarah has also taught an art class at Roots Young Adult Homeless Shelter, and she’s helped her students display and sell their work in a group show at the Vera Project. She’s currently working on a mural inside the shelter, and has also painted a mural in the courtyard of the Wallingford Boys & Girls Club. For the past few years, she’s collaborated with Foundry 10, a philanthropic group supporting youth education. In addition, she’s teamed up with numerous Seattle nonprofits to provide face painting at fundraising and youth outreach events. In Sarah’s free time, she’s an avid reader, hiker, and cook. There’s nothing she loves more than snuggling up with her two cats, Bean and Jo, after a long day of painting and losing herself in a novel.
